Who we are

Kynetiq Technologies Ltd ("Kynetiq", "we") is a software company based in Tauranga, New Zealand. This statement explains how we handle personal information collected through kynetiqtech.com. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send us a message, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message.

When you ask for a website preview, we also collect your business name, your trade, your current website (if you have one), the package you are interested in and whether you want enquiry automation.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to you, to prepare a website preview if you asked for one, and to provide any service you then sign up for. We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Technical information is used to keep the site running, secure and free of spam.

Services we use

Form messages are delivered to us by Formspree. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being sent by a person rather than a bot; it looks at information from your browser to do this. The site is hosted by Vercel. We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tools, and if we measure visits with Google Analytics, it uses cookies to record things like the pages you view and the type of device you use, without identifying you by name.

These providers are based overseas, mainly in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We use well-established providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to New Zealand law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our business records, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Websites we build for other businesses

If you send an enquiry through a website we built and look after for one of our customers, that business is responsible for your information. We handle it on their behalf to deliver your enquiry to them.

KindyEats

The KindyEats app has its own privacy policy, which you can find in the app and on its Google Play listing.
